CHICAGO, IL – With the launch of FairyTaleGallery.com, parents are now able to set up a digital archive of their child’s original artwork, and simultaneously create a new funding source for college.

“A lot of parents that I knew were increasingly concerned about their child’s future,” says Carolyn Tang, the founder of FairyTaleGallery.com.  “The state of the economy is not improving, yet college tuition continues to rise.  I wanted to give parents a way to earn money for their kids’ college education, without having to invest a lot of additional time.”

With FairyTaleGallery.com, parents can, at no cost, submit their original children’s artwork.  The online site then digitizes each piece of artwork and creates a unique personal gallery for each young artist.  FairyTaleGallery.com visitors can then purchase the artwork at a price set by the parents.  Proceeds from each sale are forwarded to the artists and their parents.

“Instead of storing their kids’ artwork in drawers and boxes at home, parents can send it over to us, and we’ll digitally archive the art forever,” Tang explains.

FairyTaleGallery.com also serves as a great visual record of their child’s artistic growth.  For example, a monochrome finger painting by one young artist, done at age 3, contrasts significantly with a mixed- media homage to Monet, completed at age 6.

Visitors to FairyTaleGallery.com are able to browse the artwork by medium, such as watercolor or crayon, or they can search for an individual artist by name.  Artists can also forward along a link to their own personal gallery to family and friends afar.
